Your investment. Someone’s home. Our commitment.
Behind every investment property is an owner with plans for the future. Behind every tenancy are people making a home.
At Elders Real Estate Ipswich, our property management team understands the responsibility that comes with looking after both. It takes experience, attention to detail and the ability to build relationships that remain strong through everyday conversations and challenging situations.
We want our landlords to feel confident in the people caring for their investment, and our tenants to feel comfortable working with us. That confidence starts with a team that takes pride in its work, supports one another and understands why the details matter.
Experience and support, working together
Our property management team brings together experienced professionals and developing talent, with each person contributing their own strengths.
Senior Property Manager Justine Aiyana brings 18 years of experience, providing practical guidance and support across the team. Working alongside her are property managers Amy Clark, with four years of experience; Caitlin Hunter, with three years; Jenn Barnes, with two years; and Bridgette Jackwitz, with 2 1/2 years.
Each property manager takes responsibility for their own portfolio and the relationships within it. They are supported by Assistant Property Manager Heidi Parish, who brings 12 months of experience and steps in where additional assistance is needed.
Our structure gives owners and tenants a dedicated property manager who understands the property and oversees its day-to-day management. With portfolios of approximately 125 properties per manager, clear responsibility sits with one person, backed by the support and knowledge of the wider team.
For owners beginning their relationship with Elders Ipswich, Business Development Manager Kelly Yates brings six years of experience. Kelly helps prospective landlords understand our service and discuss what they need from their property management team.
At reception, Amanda Doyle, with two years of experience, provides a welcoming first point of contact and helps connect clients with the right person.
The team is supported by Branch Manager Danielle Gavin, whose more than 25 years of experience in property management and leadership helps guide standards, develop capability and keep the team focused.
This structure gives our people both ownership of their work and somewhere to turn for support. It allows experience to be shared, questions to be worked through and individual confidence to grow.
Taking care of the details
Good property management depends on paying attention consistently.
Understanding a property, recognising a concern and following through on the next step all contribute to how well it is cared for over time. Our approach centres on identifying issues early and helping owners make informed decisions.
Routine inspections are an important part of that work. Our team uses 360-degree cameras to support inspection records and provide a broader visual perspective of the property.
Alongside that technology, we invest in practical training to strengthen what our property managers look for during an inspection. We want them to recognise early signs of maintenance concerns and notice everyday habits that may contribute to damage if left unaddressed.
Something as simple as an unsuitable product sitting on a delicate surface or bottles left on a painted windowsill can create an opportunity for a helpful conversation. Explaining the concern early gives a tenant the chance to adjust how they use the space and may help prevent avoidable damage.
The same attention applies to signs of deterioration or maintenance that warrant further investigation. Recognising a concern early allows it to be raised with the owner so an appropriate response can be considered.
This is what being proactive means to our team: looking carefully, asking questions and communicating concerns before they have the opportunity to become more significant.
It supports owners in caring for their investment and gives tenants practical guidance in looking after their home.
Building capability through practical training
To deliver that approach consistently, our people need the knowledge and support to make sound decisions.
Our training focuses on situations property managers encounter in their daily work, including maintenance management, risk management and damage prevention. We work on understanding what a concern could mean, how to assess the next step and how to explain it clearly to the people involved.
Practical training also creates opportunities to share experience. A situation encountered by one property manager can become a valuable learning opportunity for others, helping strengthen capability across the team.
Senior leadership provides direction and accountability while supporting each person’s development. Clear expectations help our people understand their responsibilities, and accessible guidance helps them work through matters that require another perspective.
We are proud to have a team that continues to learn. Property management calls for judgement as well as process, and that judgement develops through experience, discussion and a willingness to ask questions.
For our clients, this means their property is supported by the knowledge of their dedicated manager and the experience available across the office.
Strong relationships matter
Looking after a property also means working well with people.
Owners want to understand what is happening with their investment and what requires their attention. Tenants want their concerns to be heard and to understand what is expected of them. Clear, respectful communication helps both.
Our team values the relationships built through those conversations. Taking the time to listen, explain a concern or talk through the next step can make a difficult situation easier to navigate.
There will be occasions when property management involves disagreement, competing priorities or difficult decisions. These situations call for a calm approach, clear boundaries and the ability to remain focused on resolving the issue.
Compassion is an important part of that responsibility. Understanding that someone may be under pressure helps us approach a conversation with care, while still addressing what needs to happen.
We want landlords and tenants to feel they can work constructively with our team. That relationship is strengthened through consistency—how we communicate, how we respond and how we conduct ourselves when the work becomes challenging.
Pride in our people
When Danielle speaks about what makes her proud of the team, she points to three qualities: their resilience in the work, their compassion for clients and their commitment to each other.
Property management can be demanding. It requires people to move between detailed administration, maintenance concerns, client conversations and unexpected challenges throughout the day.
Having colleagues who offer guidance, share knowledge and step in to help makes a meaningful difference. That support helps our people stay focused and continue developing in their roles.
Each team member brings their own strengths and values. Together, they contribute to a working environment built around responsibility, care and a shared commitment to doing the job well.
Our history includes recognition of that commitment. Danielle received the REIQ Property Manager of the Year award in 2015, and Elders Ipswich achieved national No. 1 Property Management Office recognition within Elders in 2023 and 2024.
We are proud of those achievements. Our ongoing focus is on the work that earns our clients’ confidence: caring for their properties, building strong relationships and continuing to improve as a team.
